Circa 1880's standard size cabinet card of a young man in full Baseball uniform holding a ball, posing in a New Albany, Indiana studio of a photographer by the name of Wilson. The young man's name may be Sulivan as that is written in period fountain pen on the back. There is some block lettering on the jersey, but not enough to make out the team. Overall condition is VG or better. New Albany is just across the river from Louisville, it's possible the team or player may be from that area as well. There was only one Sullivan family living in New Albany in 1880, so it's quite possible this one of their sons. As both the father and son worked at one of the local Glass factories at the time, it's probable this is a company team, especially given the complete uniform.
