From only the second year of it's inception, a small cabinet photo of the Purdue Baseball Team Captains Hull and Schultz. The team had a 3-1 record in 1889, as they had no coach the first few years and played very few games. However a review of the 1889 Purdue roster has no players named Hull or Schultz, so either the year is written down wrong or their names, more likely the year. Whatever the situation, a very nice image of two early Purdue Baseball players that may deserve a bit more research. Measures 3" x 3" square, 4" tip to tip. Bears the local photographer Phillips La Fayette Indiana on the verso as well. Excellent plus condition.
