1906 Chicago Cubs National League Baseball Club, V.O. Hammon postcard entitled The "Cubs"--Pennant Winners. A popular postcard with all of the star Cubs of the day, highlighted by the Tinker, Evers and Chance, along with Mordecai Brown and many more stars of the era. Postmarked Oct. 3, 1916 just two days after the World Series between the two local teams, the Cubs and White Sox. Light honest wear, the central image with just the lightest of blemishes, the writing quite ornate and notes the Cubs are "still Chicago's best team", obviously a disheartened Cubs fan still feeling the effects of the series.
