1912 Boston Post Red Sox Printed Supplement. An image which is used for various postcards and premiums, the first we have seen with the Boston Post copyright etched into the negative. Various sources list this as taken from a George Bain photo, further enhancing its desirability. The piece measures approximately 16" x 13", it is not matted the frame line shown is printed on the larger item. Framed many years ago, originally from the Richard Merkin Collection.

The players are listed below the image and are: back row: Trainer Quirk, Speaker, Wood, Cady, Thomas, O’Brien, Bradley, Lewis. Middle row: Hooper, Karrigan, Yerkes, Henrikson, Engle, Nunmaker, Hall, Gardner, Collins, Stahl. Bottom row: Wagner, Bedient, Jerry McCarthy (bat boy), Pape and Krug. A little girl with long curls has her hand on player Wood’s shoulder, further adding intrigue to the image. According to online sources this photo was taken Oct. 4, 1912 on the day of the last game of American League Championship.

An opportunity to obtain a very nice and historic piece for the Red Sox collector
