From the 2009 REA offering of the original find of Frank H. Fleer 1930 Whiz Bang Gum cards we offer this example of HOFer Lefty Grove, one of six Grove's in the find. Unknown to the collecting community prior to this, rare is an understatement. Anyone wanting a type card from this group which only contained fifteen Baseball players in total, will be hard pressed to find one. The offered Grove is as nice as the day it was made and subsequently removed from it's orginal resting place seventy years later, as evidenced by the lofty SGC 88 Nrmt/Mt grade. The two small holes visible in the scan are as made to allow string to be inserted and make a pinwheel type toy. The ONLY example graded by SGC.
