Significant historical photograph collection from the 1934 World Series between the Detroit Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. Thirty-seven photographs taken by press photographers at the games, each detailed on the back as to the game and photo content. Many are HOFers, Greenberg, Durocher, Dean, Cochrane, Gehringer and several other stars. Some of the shots are from important happenings during the games, Dizzy Dean being hit by a thrown ball, Joe Medwick being ejected by Judge Landis and many scoring shots. Also a number of shots of the stadium and crowd before during and after the game. The retail value of these if broken up would be immense, however we elected to offer them as the group they were assembled, presumably many of them were together the past ninety years. A very nice find for the baseball image collector or historian of the game.
