Very scarce 1953 Yamakatsu Black & White Mickey Mantle card. Exceptionally nice displaying card, SGC 20, only due to a small spot at the top of the blank back where the card was originally attached to it's factory produced display, each card was then pulled off for the person wanting it, all of these cards will display the same small pull spot on the back. The card depicts a very young Mantle wearing #6, a number which he wore when first coming up in 1951, placing the time of the photo used for this card undoubtedly as 1951! The photo taken at Spring training. This is the only copy graded by SGC with only an AUT specimen on the PSA pop report. A very important card for the type card collector or Mantle collector. Much rarer than almost any of Mantle's other cards, while we have no delusions that this will or should approach the value of the 1951 Bowman or 1952 Topps issues of Mantle, it should command a sizable bid tally based on rarity and aesthetics.
