Circa 1870's 1/6 Plate 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" color tinted Tintype of a young man in full uniform with his bat at his side. In it's original paper holder. The uniform has been tinted blue with gold added to his belt buckle and watch chain, his cheeks ever so slight rose tinted. A classic 19th century treatment of a CDV for someone of a bit higher social status. A true piece of history and americana wrapped up in one. Tintypes of this quality are becoming harder and harder to find.
