Circa 1906/07 2 3/4" x 5 3/4" cabinet photo of a young man in football gear. Penciled on the back is George Wahl. A bit of internet searching reveals that this is George Charles Wahl a player on the Madison High School Football team of 1906 and 1907, probably when this image was taken by Thomas Studios of Madison, Wisconsin. George was born March 25, 1890 in Dane, Wisconsin and died there in 1976. Difficult to find these early photos ID'd, this is a nice example of a prep player in uniform. The team photo is not part of the lot, Wahl is in the back row 1st on the left.
