Brockelman Fall 2018 Auction

Circa 1910-11 Connie Mack's Champion Athletics Wanamaker Sporting Goods Ad Piece. Presumably issued after their first World Series win of 1910. 4 1/2" x 5" heavy stock piece with Connie Mack surrounded by a vignette of all the A's players, loaded with HOFers, Plank, Baker, Bender, Collins and so many other stars of the local team. The back carries advertising for John Wanamaker's Sporting Good Stores and notes the fact that Alex H. Findlay, renowned Golfer of the era is now managing the store. The piece displays very light wear and a few peripheral creases, all non-obtrusive. The only one we can find doing an internet search, but others must exist. A keeper for the die-hard Athletics collector. As some may be familiar with the Wanamaker Cup of Golf, it was named after John Wanamaker's son Lewis Rodman Wanamaker.
