Black & white photo taken March 10, 1909 by George W. Patterson, View Photographer Station M. L. A. Phone Temple 432, which would be Los Angeles, California. The jockey is HOFer Vincent Powers aboard famed steeplechase horse Kiota, whom would be put down only three months later due to a tragic race accident. Photo measures 7" x 5" the mount has been cut down to about 10" x 7". Research has not yet revealed the race of this date. Powers won several races that year.
