Four 1870 (New York) Sunday Mercury newspapers from June 5, 1870, June 12, 1870, June 19, 1870 and June 26, 1870. A large format paper (18” x 24” Pages) with a small baseball section including box scores of the Forest City's, the Red Stockings, the Mutuals, etc. Names like Spaulding, Barnes, Pearce, Zettlein, George & Harry Wright, McVey, Rogers, Reach can easily be found. Along with the sports there are many other relevant and fascinating articles of news of the period.
In fairly nice shape for newsstock nearly 150 years old, just a bit of flaking on the edges, all pages intact from each issue.
