Very scarce 1913 postcard of Christy Mathewson at work during game 2 of the 1913 Worlds Series vs. the Athletic's. Taken at Shibe Park, the text on the card declaring Mathewson "the World's Greatest Pitcher". Fantastic condition, SGC 60, one of three at this level with only one higher, a 70, most of which have the slight diagonal cut at the top. In fact when compared side by side to the 70, this appears as nice or nicer. Rarely seen or offered for sale, this is a chance to acquire a very scarce postcard of a much sought after HOFer, the likes of which may not present itself for some time.
