Fascinating 10" x 8" linen backed photo taken of eleven individuals including nine ballplayers. Dates to the mid 1930's perhaps 1935 or 1936 as those were the only years that Dick Porter was with Newark. Included is Jimmy Foxx in his All-Americans uniform from the 1934 Tour of Japan. Other major leaguers are Henry Oana, Oscar Roettger, Bill Werner, Max Bishop, Roger Cramer, Jim DeShong, and Frank Hayes. Some of the players appear in uniforms that they did not play in(mostly Orioles), so apparently they may have been loaned to them for the game or photo. The photo is credited to HICK PHOTOGRAPHERS from Cambridge, Maryland. Originally from the effects of Oscar Roettger. The names have penned in above the players, most appear to be from the same hand. Very nice professional studio photo in Excellent condition.
