Pair of 10" x 8" photographs of Actor/Comedian Joe E. Brown and Major League Ballplayers Don Hurst and Bill Brubaker, as well as UCLA Baseball Catcher and Quarterback Mike Frankovich, all in St. Louis Cardinals uniforms. Comes from Joe E. Browns son Joe L. Brown former General Manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates. These photos were from the filming of the 1932 movie, Fireman, Save My Child in which Joe played the part of a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. The two photos come in a photographers studio folder, from Daniel Smith, Raleigh/Durham NC which is probably not original to the photos but as given to the consignor by Joe L. Brown. Each photo has the names of the subjects penned by Brown himself, along with his initials J.E.B.
