Early 20th Century Baseball Player oil painting that started out in life as an actual photograph of the player, which has been painted over, all except the face and a few others, the hand, glove, belt etc. The player has a C on his cap, the uniform has vestiges of blue team lettering over or under other lettering. Appears as if it was repainted at one time to reflect his change of teams. Overall frame size is 10 1/4" x 13 1/4", the exposed area of the painting 7" x 10". The back has been opened ever so slightly as someone was seeking ID or such, but never completely opened, so difficult to say what might be underneath. Even without ID, it is a very nice piece of early 20th century American/Folk Art with a Baseball theme.
