1941 Evansville Bees Team Issued Photo with a very young Warren Spahn, undoubtedly the best player to ever put on a Bee's uniform. The future HOFer was a mere twenty years old at the time this photo was taken. The next year he would be with the Braves and the rest is history as they say. This is a team issued photo and apparently quite a rare one, as this is the only example that the consignor or ourselves have been able to confirm on the internet, obviously others may exist, but the opportunity to acquire this one is here and now! Several others on this team saw Major League duty, as many of the pro's entered the military for WWII. George Metkovich having one of the longer careers of those in this group, doing quite a stint in the PCL. Hall of Fame collectors are always on the look for earliest known items/images from a players career. There is no doubt this would qualify as Warren Spahn's!

The photo has been encapsulated by Beckett and graded Good 2, primarily due to a few peripheral creases and some soiling. It presents a bit nicer as the image is quite clear and free of any damage. The blue area's on the back scan are reflections from the scanner and are not on the card.

1941 Evansville Bees Team Issued Photo w/Warren Spahn Only One Confirmed
