So we have all heard of Babe Ruth sitting down and signing baseballs by the dozens, here we have a period publication with Ruth on the cover doing exactly that! Babe Ruth on the cover of the May 27, 1926 Mid-Week Pictorial signing one-hundred brand new out of the box. Pictured along side him is actress Madge Kennedy. The publication is complete with all thirty-two pages intact and attached, the back cover partially attached. Full of other photos of the day of stars and events around the world, we did not even look inside with Ruth on the cover, may well be more Baseball pictures as well. There is a fold and two short tears, both of which would mat out, the fold could probably be ironed or humidified and lessened by a paper conservator if one wanted. The image is 8 1/2" x 11 1/2" the entire piece 11" x 16". An internet search shows only one copy of this issue being offered for sale in the past.
