University of Kansas 1908 & 1910 Baseball Team and Lettermen Photographs, all taken by Squires Studio of Lawrence, Kansas. All originally come from a team member Victor Earl Rockefeller of Holton and Clyde, Kansas before moving to Pittsburgh, PA and later Milwaukie, Oregon. He is on all three of the photographs, back left row 1908, Left side in the lettermen photo and to the right of the coach in the 1910 photo(as seen facing the image).
The earliest is the 1908 team measuring 4 5/8" x 3 1/2" on a 8" x 6" mount.
The 1910 letterman photo measures 3 7/8" x 4 3/4" on a slightly larger mount.
The 1910 team photo measures 11" x 8 1/4" on a slightly larger mount, which has been cut down just a bit on the ends.
Two show evidence of being used for publications, presumably the yearbook or local newspapers or perhaps both. None of these images seem to be found online, nor in the Kansas archives holdings. A very nice group of early Kansas Baseball history.
