The second half of this rare offering of the 1909 St. Louis Republic Cardinals Supplements complete set of twelve. Included in this dozen are: Charles Achenbach, Fred Beebe, Jack Bliss, Roger Bresnahan, Robert Byrne, Rube Ellis, Steve Evans, Rudy Hulswitt, Edward Konetchy,, John Lush, Edward Phelps and Harry Sallee. This group is in nicer shape than the preceeding lot with very few issues, other than the dates as seen. Most, if not all of these images were taken by Murillo Studios of St. Louis and are probably a unique pose to each player. A few of the players in these two sets offered are very scarce images, as they played in MLB for a very short time.
The previously sold group of these a few months ago, while complete, was not quite as nice as this offering. One could possibly have the finest known set of St. Louis Republic Supplements with the acquisition of this and the preceeding Browns lot. The set will come in the double sided folio pages ready for large size album inclusion.
