1936 Scrapbook with forty-three Sporting News Stamps including Lou Gehrig and the Rookie Season Joe DiMaggio, among many, many other HOFers and stars such as Dizzy Dean, Leo Durocher, Jimmy Foxx, Mel Ott, Lefty Gomez and several others. Also has newspaper clippings for the American and National League standings from early April thru early August. These stamps which were published in various newspapers and the Sports News have become quite collectible. Plus, the season long clippings provide a nice glimpse into the past. There was consideration to take this apart and sell the stamps as singles or small groups, but the completeness and historical value outweighed the possible monetary benefit. Most of the stamps are in nice shape and probably could be removed if one desired. A few do have penciled numerals on them. Both covers are loose, the rest of the pages are attached at the spine of the album.
