1953 Topps Baseball 5 Cent Wrapper, the toughest of the three different 1953 wrappers and much tougher than the 1952's. This is a repaired wrapper that won't cost you an arm and a leg. As with many of the early Topps wrappers the seal was very good and most youngsters tore their way into them. This wrapper had a piece missing at the bottom and someone made a filler piece to add into the wrapper. It appears it might be able to be undone if one wanted, but looks nice as is. There is also a small area of fading, presumably from where the gum came in contact with the wrapper. A recent Memory Lane auction with both a 1 cent and 5 cent wrapper(with lighter damage in the same area as the offered wrapper), sold for nearly $4,500!
