1895 American Tobacco Company Catalogue of Premiums, for which the certificates could be redeemed by the dealer or merchant jobber from The American Tobacco Company a wide array of items, seventy-five which are offered in this nearly one-hundred page detailed catalogue, which lists the value of each certificate from brands such as Newsboy, Old Judge, Richmond, Duke's and many, many more. Each of the seventy-five items is listed which includes knives, watches, banjo's, Remington Shot guns, New Home Sewing Machine, Smith & Wesson revolver and the grand-daddy of all a Mason & Hamlin Organ. The catalogue has seen some moisture inside and out, most page being affected, but all are intact and very readable. This appears by all accounts a very scarce item, as a thorough internet search has revealed no others. Intended to be sent and used by the dealer for each year, most were probably thrown away when the next arrived. This item is being sold for the benefit of the Adat Chaverim Brotherhood Synagogue of Plano, Texas as requested by the consignor.
