Circa 1914 Cabinet photo of Bob Sweatt's Cigar and Cold Drinks, located in Carthage, Missouri. Taken by William Weaver of the same city. Normal display of several different brands of Cigar's, Cigarettes and Tobacco. Highlighted by images of three baseball players with a caption "Baseball Veterans Now in the Limelight". A bit difficult to make out who the players are, but one can almost assume these images are used on some cards of the era. It can be dated to 1916 as the images below the ball players are of Pershing and U.S. Soldiers involved in the pursuit of Pancho Villa. These images appear to be on an ad for Star Lighters. With a little research one could possibly ID the players. The image measures 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" on a slightly larger mount, that may have been cut down a bit. Very nice image for the baseball or tobacco collector.
