Postmarked October 8, 1909, Archbald Pennsylvania Baseball Team, Amature(sic) Champions of Northwestern Pennsylvania post card. They were the company team for the Archbald Mine Company. Color lithograph card showing nine team members in matching uniforms, a bat boy and two Managers. Sent by Louis Tingley of Archbald to William Tingley of Honesdale. The message stating the Archbald team had lost two out of three to Saint Peters, and losing a $1,000 purse. The players on the team of the 1909 series were, Hawley, P. J. Boland, Gaughan, Duffy, Fitzpatrick, Dougher, Brogan, McDonald and P.W. Boland. A great image and back story.
