1910-11 Sporting Life card of Charlie Smith, Boston Braves. One of several M116 Sporting Life cards without names, printed on very light stock and are blank backed. A pin-hole at the top, the name written on the back as are all of the cards from this find. Smith is from one of the very difficult 300 Subjects Series and his regular card is very, very difficult to find.

All of these originate from a find first offered in a 2013 REA sale https://www.robertedwardauctions.com/auction/2013/spring/336/1911-m116sporting-lifeproof-collection-including-walter-johnson/

While we hesitate to use the term "Proof" as they lack the normally associated alignment marks and other associated factors, they are definitely one-off's of some type. The original find included cards from many different series, indicating that the entire set might have been produced on this one sheet and then cut up. Further, as indicated in the original sale, there has never been any type of Sporting Life advertising material that was full color lithograph, all known is half-tone produced. That being said what they are exactly may never be known, but rest assured they are very scarce.
