The 1983 Seamless Web was a work of original art that was created for a SABR 1983 National Pastime magazine. It consisted of twenty players and a playing field. The entire work was later auctioned in a 2006 REA auction (Lot 906) and can be seen at that web site. In the same year as the SABR art was done, legendary collector Lew Lipset contracted with Rucker to acquire his own personal All-Star team of eleven players. Exactly as the original works they are 4" x 9" original paintings, gouache on paper, each mounted on wood(approximately 6 1/2" x 12"). Each of the pieces is dated and signed by Rucker.

We are offering four of the pieces individually. The Babe Ruth is probably the premier player in the group, showing a fantastic likeness of Babe "at the ready". Who will be the lucky winner of this and the other one of a kind marvelous display pieces with a provenance of being created by one well known collector for another well known collector. Each a HOF collector in their own right.
