Scarce and highly collected 1860's Staffordshire Pottery ABC American Sports Base Ball plates lot of three different. The largest a full 8" wide with a depiction of a Base Ball game in progress, a very early rendition of the sport recorded. No chips or cracks. As usual in antiquities the larger the more valuable, which is the case here, as the larger plates are harder to find than the smaller ones. The second a 7" Base Ball Pitcher with a very large central of a Pitcher in action. One small edge chip, a couple of nibs on the back and some glazing crackling. Sold in 2010 by Hunt Auctions for $244 for just this one plate! The third is a 6 1/4" Base Ball, Caught On The Fly very bold in the center. A couple of very small edge chips noted for accuracy. These currently sell on Ebay when found for $50 to $200 each! We will start the lot low for one lucky bidder to acquire not one, but three different at one time!
