In 1910 the Chicago White Sox team took a train to Spring training, passing thru the Royal Gorge on February 27, 1910, when this classic image was taken. This oversize postcard measuring 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" was included in a "Ten Pictorial Post Cards" packet published by The Inter-State Co. entitled "Through The Royal Gorge", which included nine other shots of various landmarks and views from the Royal Gorge in addition to the Chicago White Sox. While the White Sox postcard shows up from time to time(and is quite popular), the entire packet appears to be quite scarce, we have one other entire packet in over a decade of auctions and find no other complete packets offered for sale online.
All are uncreased and show just the lightest of corner wear, each EX or better. None have writing, tape or pinholes. The large protective cardboard envelope has overall wear and some creasing but all intact including the back flap.
