Very scarce 1939 Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Day photograph issued during the 1950's. All of the living original HOF members at the time, except Cobb, noted as "running late" in the caption. Highlighted by Babe Ruth in the center, surrounded by the other legends, Eddie Collins, Connie Mack, Cy Young, Honus Wagner, Grover Cleveland Alexander, Tris Speaker, Napoleon Lajoie, George Sisler and Walter Johnson. Crease free and sharp. A clean back, with a pencil notation, of longtime collector J. Esch. An internet search only reveals one other, sold by Leland's about a decade ago, with later HOFers signing it.
