Unused Stall & Dean American League Baseball in the original box, from the mid 1910's. Penciled on the top is "From Coach Davis May 11, 1917". The ball is new condition and never used. The box, more importantly is fully intact and maintains all of the external paper labeling which touts Ty Cobb Baseball Shoes, Gloves and Bats, as well as Tris Speaker. Each of the other sides of the box has information and pricing on items available from Stall & Dean. Most boxes although seldom found, are missing the paper banner, the fact that this one is intact is very important to the overall desirability and of course value.
Extremely scarce ball with an even scarcer full box. Add Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker to the mix and we have a top shelf collectible. The ball and the box each come in an acrylic display cube.
