Five CDV's from the 1860's-1870's, each depicting a historical scene or event. One from Rome, Italy, showing Pius the 9th on his throne. Another titled "La Cena di Leonardo Vinci", we know as the last supper, with a notation on the back "Milan Monastery" taken by a Naples, Italy photographer. Stateside we have a Niagra Falls shot, taken after the Civil War with a 2 cent Revenue stamp attached. A shot of the Washington Elm tree and lastly a group of men taken by Whipple of Boston, who often shot these group shots of Lawyers, Clergy and Legislators, hard to tell which occupational group it might be. A nice selection of much better than run of the mill single individual's and such on CDV's and worth a bit more than usual.
