Cabinet card of J. E.(John Elmer) Deselm of the Kankakee Illinois YMCA Baseball team of 1897 and 1898. Measures 4 3/4" x 5 3/4" with a photo 3 3/16" x 4 1/6" mounted to it, with the hand inked "Centre Fielder" at the bottom. Deselm was a well known businessman of the Kankakee county area, born there October 11, 1887 and died there March 25, 1932. Quite uncommon to find these local cabinet cards ID'd this and exception which we were able to obtain the additional information online.
