What many would mistake for a Baseball player is in fact an early 1880's Cabinet of a Fireman in bibbed uniform adorned with ribbons wearing a cap and buckle with a numeral 2. Sitting by his side atop the chair back is his fireman's hat also adorned with the numeral 2, the number of his fire company. Taken by Webster, 63 Sweeney St. Tonawanda, New York. A gold gilded edge with a blank back making this an early cabinet, prior to the photographers adding advertising. Very clean front and back.
