N171 W. Duke, Sons & Co. photographic card of Capt. Thomas W. Ryan 21st Precint New York Police, a subject and the same image as used ij the very popular N288 Police Inspectors and Chiefs of the Fire Departments. Appears Exmt or nicer, however both sides have wavy cuts, the card measures a very scant 1/32" to 1/16" under side to side and does not appear trimmed under a loupe, perhaps a lousy day on the cutting machine or hand cut a long time ago. Whatever the issue, a very nice appearing card of a highly collectible subject matter.
