An unusual group of 1930's Goudey Indian Gum specimens all on paper stock, adhered to heavy cardboard. These are from the same original collection of group/individual cards being offered as other lots in this auction, evidenced by the same set of penciled initials on the back. Thru an advanced R73 collector we were able to verify that paper stock Indian Gum cards do indeed exist. In all likelyhood cut from an ad piece or poster, as these are handcut and oversize in some cases. These are the cards associated with the Series of 48, 288 and 312, so the scarcer series, as were the others use to verify these. The cards if numbered would be #158,160,162,165,179,187,193,202,206,207 and 209. An unusual group that we opted to offer in one lot as they have been together the last 80 years.
